Musical Theater for Kids: Stage Combat, Scenes and Songs From Shrek
Are you a budding actor? Learn more about theater work as you explore your interest in acting, singing and dancing. This course uses scenes and songs from Shrek the Musical to teach a variety of skills, including character development, scene work, choreography and ensemble and solo singing. We’ll use theater games and improvisation to build skills of listening, empathy and flexibility, and to introduce the concept of side coaching. On the final day of class, you’ll have the chance to share your work from the past two weeks with family and friends.
Note: This is a skill-building course and does not culminate in a performance.
