Actors Workshop: Scenes From Jason & the Golden Fleece
In this course, we’ll use scenes from Jason and the Golden Fleece as a jumping-off place to practice improvisation, scene work and theater games. You’ll receive direction and constructive feedback as you work to amplify your skills in listening, creative movement, play and spontaneous interaction. We’ll also do daily warm-up sequences as building blocks for scene work and character development, and we’ll practice group pantomime, slapstick comedy, stage combat and scenes. You’ll receive direction and constructive feedback as you work to create moments of conflict, celebration and everyday life on the stage. On the final day of class, you’ll have the chance to share your work from the past two weeks with family and friends.
Note: This is a skill-building course and does not culminate in a performance.
