Writing for College Readiness
Want to improve your writing and learning skills to meet college-level expectations? This course will build your confidence in your writing through frequent writing practice and the development of key skills such as research, argument and revision. With support from the instructor and peers, you’ll work to expand your voice so you can feel better prepared for future writing experiences.

- Tips for finding an entry point into any creative composition
- Strategies for exploring and developing your individual voice
- How to create a portfolio of your work
Who Should Register
This course is for incoming 10th to 12th graders. It'snot for students who need remedial writing help, and all students should have a high level of English language proficiency.

The in-person section is taught on the UW Seattle campus. We recommend bringing a laptop to class if you have one.
The online section is taught using Zoom. Classes meet in real time and are not recorded. To participate, you should have access to a computer with a high-speed internet connection and a headset and webcam.
