Innovation Lab: Robotics & Coding

Calling young artists, engineers and anyone who likes to tinker! In this foundational STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) course, you’ll dive into coding and robotics with Sphero BOLT, a robot with programmable sensors and an LED matrix. Get hands-on experience in block coding and JavaScript and build your computational thinking and coding skills  while taking on creative challenges. Design paper and fabric circuits that light up and try your hand at stitching together a circuit using conductive thread and LEDs.

What You’ll Learn

  • Foundations of electrical circuits, coding and robotics
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills used in the design process
  • How to collaborate with peers to share ideas, tackle challenges and learn from one another

Who Should Register

This course is for incoming fourth and fifth graders.

If you’ve already taken this course (previously called STEAM Innovation Lab: Circuitry & Coding), you should look for a different course.
