Exploring Microbiology for Kids
Uncover the world of microorganisms! You’ll search for tardigrades, amoebas, ciliates, euglenoids, flatworms, rotifers, copepods, nymphs and more. You’ll use microscopes to learn about microscopic single-celled and multicellular organisms. Anticipate a possible visit to a UW lab to learn about current research involving microorganisms and cells.

- How to use a microscope to identify organisms and cell components
- How to put together various types of slides for observation under a microscope
- How to collect field samples for analysis
