Entertainment & Media Writing

People around the world consume writing in newspapers and magazines every day, but where does that writing come from? In this course, we’ll use a writer’s room format where you’ll pitch ideas and collectively build a cohesive product ready for distribution. We’ll explore arts, culture, food, entertainment and news writing through various short lessons and activities. This course may be of particular interest to students who want to explore careers in a writing-oriented field.

Who Should Register

This course is for incoming ninth to 12th graders who enjoy writing. This course is not for those who need remedial writing help, and all students should have a high level of English language proficiency.
